Becki Clague, CEO

From there, it’s really a combination of recruiting and matchmaking skills, introducing the two to create long-term professional relationships,” says Becki.

Becki's path to recruiting began after receiving her B.A. in Human Development/ Psychology and then a career in social services. She eventually switched gears, earning her Series 7 and becoming a stockbroker. In 1985, her combined sales and social services background drew her to recruiting as a natural blend of her accumulated skills and experience. Ten years ago, Becki co-founded People Search and is currently CEO of her own firm, California People Search. The firm's focus is on staffing and recruiting all levels of Administration, HR, and Finance-related personnel.

When not recruiting, Becki spends her time traveling between the Bay Area-based business, and building a home in Santa Barbara. She enjoys entertaining, cooking, and gardening. She also balances the demands of her business with volunteer work, rescuing animals. Her charges currently include: a French Mastiff and a small flock of chickens.

Lale Basak, Recruiting and Training Manager

“My third week on board with Chemonics International, I was sent to Dakar, Senegal to recruit for a number of consultants for a multi-million dollar government funded trade project. The requisitions at hand included everything from fisheries and textiles to financial experts. I thoroughly enjoyed the search, the challenge of finding the right fit and interacting with such a diverse number of people. It became clear then that recruiting was my path.”

Since moving back to California Lale has gained experience as an IT recruiter, building upon a work history where cultivating and maintaining relationships was essential to success. She earned her B.S. in Philosophy and Political Science at Santa Clara University and her M.A. in International Relations with the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. In addition, she served as a volunteer with both AmeriCorps and the PeaceCorps as a community organizer in San Jose and as a Small Business Development Consultant in Senegal, respectively. In her free time Lale enjoys practicing Yoga and reading.

Corinna Elias, Director of Sales & Marketing

Corinna is the Director of Sales and Marketing for California People Search. She is a dynamic addition to our company and brings over 17 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Service and Administration. She has worked for various companies, such as Adobe Systems, Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, and Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc. Her sales and marketing career began when she worked for a Mortgage Broker as a Loan Officer in 1993. She immediately proved that she had an innate talent in that industry as she quickly obtained many customer referrals as a result of her excellent customer service and business development. A licensed real estate agent, Corinna earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology at the California State University East Bay in Hayward.

Corinna's positive and upbeat personality is contagious and she enjoys helping others. She demonstrates strong leadership skills and has done volunteer work as being the head of her committee for her 3 previous high school class reunions. During her spare time, Corinna enjoys spending quality time with her family and loves to travel.

Kim was born and raised in San Francisco and enjoys travel and sports. She currently resides in Los Altos Hills with her husband.

Ashley Sullivan, Recruitment Consultant

Ashley has recently joined California People Search as a recruitment consultant. She brings years of Office Management and Executive Assistant experience. Prior to People Search, Ashley worked as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager at Pequot Ventures in Menlo Park. She also worked as an Executive Assistant at DES Architects + Engineers and Heidrick and Struggles. She has taken the past four years off to be home with her children. Ashley lives in Belmont with her husband and four daughters. In her free time, Ashley loves to workout, hang out with friends and spend time with her family.
