Becki Clague, CEO

"I love my profession! Especially meeting the candidates and assessing their strengths as well as their passions. On the client side, I truly enjoy meeting the executives. It’s exciting to learn about their organizations, and listening carefully to their needs from a staffing perspective. From there, it’s really a combination of recruiting and matchmaking skills, introducing the two to create long-term professional relationships,” says Becki.

Becki's path to recruiting began after receiving her B.A. in Human Development/ Psychology and then a career in social services. She eventually switched gears, earning her Series 7 and becoming a stockbroker. In 1985, her combined sales and social services background drew her to recruiting as a natural blend of her accumulated skills and experience. Ten years ago, Becki co-founded People Search and is currently CEO of her own firm, California People Search. The firm's focus is on staffing and recruiting all levels of Administration, HR, and Finance-related personnel.

When not recruiting, Becki spends her time traveling between the Bay Area-based business, and building a home in Santa Barbara. She enjoys entertaining, cooking, and gardening. She also balances the demands of her business with volunteer work, rescuing animals. Her charges currently include: a French Mastiff and a small flock of chickens.

Gina Grega, Operations Manager and Recruitment Consultant

Gina’s journey to California People Search started at Career Group, an East Coast staffing firm more than 14 years ago. Since relocating to the Bay Area, Gina has worked for several technology companies including Oracle, as well as smaller venture-funded start-ups in primarily sales/marketing, project coordination, and executive assisting roles. Prior to joining California People Search as Operations Manager and Recruitment Consultant, Gina was employed with one of the country's largest domestic staffing agencies on the Peninsula.

On working for California People Search, Gina says, “I am so excited to bring my hands-on experience working in varied capacities, with a wide range of corporate cultures and personalities to California People Search. Having direct experience working in the very types of roles we fill, translates to a unique understanding of what makes a lasting and satisfying match for our candidates and clients.”

Gina lives in Menlo Park and enjoys writing, animal rescue and volunteering, as well as cooking in her free time.

Gina has a B.A. degree in English from The College of New Jersey with certifications in Psychology and Women's Studies.

Puja Venkataraman, Recruitment Consultant

Puja is a Recruitment Consultant on the California People Search team. She brings years of hospitality experience including management, in Operations and Human Resources, making her an expert in placing Customer Service and Human Resources professionals. Prior to joining California People Search, Puja was employed as Human Resources Manager at the Sheraton Palo Alto. There, she sourced and filled a variety of service-oriented and specialized positions in the Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Rooms Divisions.

Puja greatly enjoyed the recruiting aspect of her position and realized quickly that she wanted to continue her career with an organization that fosters long-term, mutually beneficial matches for both client and candidate. Puja lives in Redwood Shores and in her free time, enjoys yoga and participating in walkathons for the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Walk and AIDS Walk, as well as volunteering for Cure Autism Now.

Puja received her B.S. degree in International Hospitality Management from Hotel Management Institution, Les Roches from Switzerland. Additionally, she received a certificate in Human Resources Management Studies from Cornell University, Ithaca.

Arlene Vaccaro, Recruitment Consultant

Originally from New York, Arlene worked as an Account Executive in the television industry both in New York and San Francisco prior to joining California People Search. Working in media sales, Arlene gained experience building relationships with both advertisers and clients. She joined the California People Search team in an effort to continue her career in an industry where fostering relationships is paramount.

Arlene lives in Willow Glen with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with her family.
